Cardi B On Why She Thinks Selena Gomez Shouldn’t Retire! Following a hint by Selena Gomez that she is mulling retiring from music after one more album, Cardi B was quick to come to her defense begging her not to go that direction to the extent of offering to help launch one more epic era. The 28 year old singer shared the news on the cover of the Vogue’s April issue saying, “It’s hard to keep doing music when people don’t necessarily take you seriously. I’ve had moments where I’ve been like, ‘What’s the point? Why do I keep doing this?’ ‘Lose You to Love Me’ I felt was the best song I’ve ever released, and for some people it still wasn’t enough.”
While the ‘Lose You to Love Me’ hit maker feels like there are enough people who do enjoy her music, she added, “For that I’m so thankful, for that I keep going, but I think the next time I do an album it’ll be different. I want to give it one last try before I maybe retire music.”
Clearly, Selena Gomez’ sentiments were not at all pleasing to Cardi B at all prompting her to sound off in a pair of early morning tweets yesterday (Thursday March 11). “I don’t think Selena should retire .She makes good music & her fans love her,” Cardi wrote. “I think she needs one more Era. A edgy one that no one ever seen her as .I would love to give her some ideas.”

That wasn’t the end of it, either. Cardi B added that she really likes Gomez and was in her defense because she is, “such a sweetheart in person. Us celebs get picked apart all the time but she is just to sweet to go thru that,” she added. “If she wants to leave ,leave cause you want too not cause of these f–kers.”
