Roddy Ricch & 42 Dugg’s Video Shoot Marred By Gun Violence! Roddy Ricch and 42 Dugg’s video shoot was marred by gun violence in Atalanta, Georgia, yet another case of rap community experiencing gun violence. This resulted in three people being shot out of which two were hospitalized Sunday afternoon (Feb 22), a report by WSB-TV 2, shows. Further reports revealed that the injuries are not life-threatening.
Shots were fired at a scrap yard on Wells Street at around 4 P.m. EST, to which police responded and discovered a man grazed by bullets. The man was reportedly assessed by Grady EMS at the scene while two other men who were also shot drove themselves to Grade Memorial Hospital. More details about the victims’ conditions haven’t been released yet.
According to reporter Steve Gehlbach, it was confirmed that the shooting took place during Roddy and Dugg’s video shoot, but the reporter could not confirm if either rapper was on the set at the time of the shooting and if they were in any way involved.
“Music video set turns into crime scene as someone opens fire,” Gehlbach sent out a message via twitter. “At least 3 people shot and two now in the hospital.”
The latest shooting follows a series of gun violence in the recent past, beginning with the November 6, 2020 shooting that led to the death of Chicago rapper King Von.
A few days later, Mo3, a Dallas rapper and BadAzz Music Syndicate artist was gunned down on a Texas highway, while Benny The Butcher and Boosie Badazz were shot in two separate events days later.
Alabama rapper HoneyKomb Brazy revealed recently that his grandparents perished in a house fire at the same time suggesting he was somehow at the center of it. Witnesses reportedly heard gunshots prior to the blaze.
“Long live grandma n grandpa y’all was my heart fr I put y’all in every song,” the rapper wrote in an Instagram post. “I hate y’all got caught up In my Shìt smh this Shìt hurt main I beg y’all to let me move y’all everyday but y’all Taught me how to be stand up guy y’all always told me If it’s our time it’s our time god got us.”
No suspects have so far been arrested in the Atlanta video set shooting. According to DJ A-Tron neither Roddy or Dugg were injured in the incident.
