Kanye West Shares What He Thinks Cost Him His Marriage To Kim Kardashian! In news we all saw coming, Kanye West’s wife Kim Kardashian officially filed for divorce from Kanye West on Friday (February 12)putting an end to over one month of rumors that the marriage was about to end. A source told PEOPLE magazine, that Ye has been texting Kim Kardashian back-and-forth with several of his closest friends amid the split, in an attempt to patch things up, while also trying to figure out what went wrong.
The source reportedly said Kanye West believes his failed Presidential bid last year is what cost him his marriage to the reality TV star and SKIMS founder.
“He’s in that place of ‘if only,’” says the source. “‘If only I had done this, if only I hadn’t done that.’ He’s processing things. He thinks that the presidential run was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Before that, there was hope, after that, none.”
During his presidential campaign rally on July 19, Kanye tearfully divulged some private information about his marriage with Kim Kardashian. He revealed how they had considered aborting their daughter North and launched a scathing attack to Kim and Kim’s mother via a days-long thread of Twitter rants denouncing his wife and his mother-in-law Kris Jenner.
A crying Kanye screamed, “I almost killed my daughter!” Between tears, he said if it hadn’t been for a “vision of God,” he would have allowed North to be “murdered.”
He added, “”Even if my wife wants to divorce me after this speech, she brought North into the world even when I didn’t want to,” he said. “She stood up and she protected that child.”
Kanye accused Kim and Kris Jenner of allegedly trying to have him locked up and claimed his wife was having an inappropriate relationship with rapper Meek Mill.
Following her husband’s Twitter rants Kim, who was not only shocked but also furious that Kanye shared something so private publicly, made a statement via Instagram saying that it was beyond the family’s power to intervene in Kanye’s bipolar disorder issues since he is an adult.
