Eminem’s ‘Lose Yourself’ Accumulates 1 Billion Streams! Eminem is celebrating yet another significant digital milestone. The rapper’s 2002 single “Lose Yourself” has surpassed the 1 billion streams mark on Spotify. The Oscar-winning “8 Mile” theme, which was also his first No. 1 song on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart has hit 1.076 billion plays on the streaming service.
The rapper celebrated the milestone of his career that spans decades on Wednesday (Feb. 24) posting on social media channels a montage video of the song’s award-winning run since it’s release on 28 Oct. 2002.
“You can do anything you set your mind to, man… #LoseYourself is over 1 billion on @spotify,” he wrote in a message that included a video listing of “Lose Yourself’s” accomplishments as well as footage from the song’s music video.

After skipping the Academy Awards ceremony in 2003 when “Lose Yourself” won the Oscar for the Best Original Song, he hit the show’s stage last year performing a surprise rendition of the song.
“Lose Yourself” is not his only song to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify; “‘Till I Collapse,” a track from his 2002 album “The Eminem Show,” has also hit the 1B mark. “‘Till I Collapse,” featuring the late Nate Dogg on the chorus, was not officially released as a single, but has grown to become one of Em’s most popular catalog titles over the years.
Eminem’s next most streamed songs on Spotify are “Without Me” and the Rihanna collaboration “Love the Way You Lie,” which have accumulated 757 million and 751 million streams, respectively.
Over 100 songs have surpased the 1 billion streams mark on Spotify, and with over 2.7 billion plays, Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” is the most-streamed song in the Spotify’s history. Post Malone and 21 Savage’s “Rockstar” (2.1Billion), Tones and I’s “Dance Monkey” (2.1Billion), the Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” (2.0 Billion) and Drake’s “One Dance” (1.9 Billion) round out the top 5.
It was only last year that Eminem’s “Rap God” video surpassed 1 billion views on YouTube, being his third video to do so, following “Love the Way You Lie” and “Not Afraid.”
