Dr. Dre, Meek Mill, Lil Durk, DJ Khaled & More Salute Jay-Z For Ace Of Spades Deal! Armand de Brignac, commonly known as Ace of Spades owing to its distinctive label, is brewed in France’s Champagne region by a father and son who are 12th and 13th generation wine growers.

Back in 2006, Jay-Z, gave the brand a boost when he featured one of their bottles in a music video after a public fall-out with Cristal, a rival brand. Jay-Z called on people to boycott Cristal over racially insensitive comments from the company’s CEO Frederic Rouzaud. Jay-z accused Cristal of racism after the then CEO alluded in an interview about whether partnering with a rapper would harm the Company’s image.

Fast forward to 2021 and Jay-Z’s champagne brand Ace Of Spades has entered a 50/50 partnership deal with LVMH’s spirits Moët Hennessy. As an entrepreneur rapper who is after sustaining a career, Jay-Z continues to map out the blueprint.

The new deal makes Jay-Z one of the few Black entrepreneurs in the lucrative and luxurious market of champagne. He has even declared himself as the “highest-ranking African-American owner of a luxury goods product.”

Since signing the deal, many people have come out to accord the rapper his flowers. From fans, relatives and industry collaborators social media has been flooded with tributes from the likes of Kevin Hart to his mother-in-law, Tina Lawson, who called Jay a “bad ass brother” for the work he has done between the NFL and now, LVMH.

Meek Mill took to Instagram sharing a photo of himself and Jay-Z with a congratulatory message. “Congrats to Jigga… inspired by your moves!” He said. Lil Durk took the opportunity to double down on claims that he is Chicago’s Jay-Z. The rapper shared a photo of himself holding a slew of Ace Of Spades bottles similar to Jay-Z.DJ Khaled, was not left behind either, making sure he shared at least two posts congratulating Jay-Z, as well. Dr. Dre took a moment to congratulate his fellow “Watcher” over a massive new partnership with Moët Hennessy.
