Jay-Z & Meek Mill Reportedly Settle Legal War With Police Officer Over “Free Meek”! Since he was released from prison back in 2018, Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill has been making sure that as a chart-topping musician, his platform is also used for good, given the fact that he’s on the fore-front advocating for criminal justice reform in the United States.

In 2019, Meek Mill filmed a documentary by the name Free Meek in which he made sure his voice was heard as he strongly criticized the U.S. prison system. The five-episode docuseries aired exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. The documentary illustrated Meek Mill’s journey through the criminal justice system in Philadelphia, with spotlight on the corruption and racial inclinations that affected his right to a fair trial. Many Hip-Hop fans came out in praise of Meek Mill for releasing the documentary, but Free Meek was not devoid of its fair share of challenges.

The portraits of an assortment of crooked Philadelphia police officers were reportedly exclusively featured in the documentary. However, one of the officers that was featured, and who AllHipHop has revealed to be Saqueta Williams, was allegedly proven not guilty of any wrongdoing as an officer. She claimed that her inclusion in Free Meek was defamatory and reportedly sued Meek Mill, Jay-Z, and Roc Nation for defamation and invasion of her privacy after Free Meek labeled her as a crooked cop.

As per AllHipHop, Jay-Z and Meek Mill have promptly taken care of the lawsuit and settled with Williams, which prompted her to voluntarily throw out the law suit. The amount of the settlement is yet to be disclosed, but according to reports a judge is set to review the suit and sign off on it soon. If this information is anything to go by, it looks like Jay-Z and Meek Mill’s Free Meek lawsuit has been fully settled.
