50 Cent shares Thoughts on “In Da Club” As Hit Song Marks 18th Anniversary – 50 Cent whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III is an American rapper, songwriter, television producer, actor, and entrepreneur. Yesterday (January 7) via a post on his twitter page, the rapper shared his thoughts on his hit Single “In Da Club” as the hit clocked 18 years since its release in 2003.

The rapper kick-started 2003 on a high note with the release of the ubiquitous “In Da Club” which up until today remains a club-banger.

The hip hop Mogul reminisced on the release of the Get Rich or Die Tryin’ lead single 18 years later via a tweet that read,

“Hey you ain’t gonna believe this one, but 18 years ago today I dropped a song I recorded in LA and it’s still spinning 1,000 times a week at radio,” he wrote. “I tell @eminem I love him for what he did for me, he put me on.”

“In Da Club” became 50’ Cent’s first track to top the Billboard Hot 100 in his illustrious career. The single produced by Dr. Dre- made its way to the Grammy Awards, where it earned nominations for Best Male Rap Solo Performance and Best Rap Song.
