Drake’s “Wants And Needs” Featuring Lil Baby Hits Gold Status! Drake’s much anticipated Certified Lover Boy appears to be on the way after a series of delays from the originally anticipated release date of January 21. In  a bid to keep his fans engaged, Drake unleashed a sequel to Scary Hours on 5th March. The three-song effort enjoys guest appearances from Lil Baby and Rick Ross.

As expected, the EP is already racking up impressive numbers, with lead single “What’s Next” having already sold five-hundred thousand album-equivalent units. Now, the project seems to have birthed another gold single. According to Our Generation Music, “Wants And Needs,” which happens to be the EP’s second track that sees an assist from Lil Baby has also moved five-hundred-thousand album equivalent units.

Even though “Wants And Needs,”   has yet to be officially certified by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), it won’t come as a surprise to see Drake lining his walls with yet another brand new batch of shiny gold plaques soon enough.

With that in mind, “Lemon Pepper Freestyle,” becomes the only song from Scary Hours 2 that hasn’t yet hit the five hundred thousand bench-mark. A surprising reality for the Rick Ross-assisted hit as there are quite a number of fans who consider the lyrically-focused song a bonafide project highlight. To put things into perspective, some people are of the view that Drake spits some of his best bars in a long time on the lavish Renzel collaboration.

While critics might hold the view that bars don’t quite have the mainstream appeal they once had, it’s highly likely that “Lemon Pepper” will soon join the party given that, it did join the other Scary Hours 2 cuts in a historic Hot 100 top 3 debut

Congratulations are in order to Drake for yet another display of commercial dominance.
