Keri Hilson On Her 9 Year Music Industry Hiatus And Why She Regrets The “Beyoncé Shade”. Keri Hilson has been absent from the music scene for several years> She has recently shared the reason of her music hiatus and got candid about Beyoncé and shared why she regrets throwing shade at her.

Keri Hilson opened upon a recent interview for Fox Soul, Out Loud With Claudia Jones. In the interview she said mostly about herbperonal luge and experiences that led to her music break and other aspects that were part of her career.

The “Pretty Girl Rock” singer shared that she had to take a 9 year break from music, as she needed time to focus on her mental health. The break happened at the peak of her career in 2011 and the timing of the break was unfortunate. She even contemplated letting go of her music career completely. She said “I needed time to get bacj to myself, I was incredible not hapoy and i was in a 11 year relationship”.

The 37 year old singer had man things happening in her life. Claudia then asked her about her feud with Beyoncé and all the shade she was ween throwing at her. Keri stated that she was young and being influenced by external parties. She shared that she regrets all of it and it was completely out of her character to be against another woman. She name dropped the super star and stated that all that she did was not in her true intentions.

Keri Hilson threw jabs at Queen B in her song “Turning Me On” and stated not to touch magazines with Bey on the cover. Now looking back Keri says she stands for supprting woman and is planning to do better. More can be expected from her in the near future in terms of her career.
