Doja Cut Drops New Video For TikTok Sensation “Streets”

Doja Cut Drops New Video For TikTok Sensation “Streets”! Following Doja Cat’s 2019 Hot Pink album cut “Streets” went viral on TikTok earlier in January this year with the #SilhouetteChallenge. The viral TikTok challenge  made use of a remix of the Paul Anka’s 1959 classic “Put Your Head on My Shoulder” and  Doja Cat’s “Streets” and at the beat switch, TikTok users discard their clothes for a sensual display of their nude silhouettes as they show off every curve on their bodies

Doja has now come through with the Christian Breslauer-visuals starring Queen Sugar star Kofi Siriboe as her leading man. In the eye-catching clip, Doja Cat acts as a spider as Siriboe gets entrapped in her web – and of course they paid homage to the viral moment as well. Similar to the challenge, Doja Cat features a snippet of Paul Anka’s 1959 song “Put Your Head on My Shoulder.”

“Streets” becomes Doja Cat’s second song to go viral following a fan-made TikTok challenge, after her now-Grammy-nominated Hot Pink cut “Say So” at the beginning of quarantine. TikToker Haley Sharpe kicked off a dance for “Say So” that quickly became a tiktok sensation. Thanks to the Challenge,  Sharpe eventually landed a spot in the music video doing the dance alongside the “Say So” hit maker.

Doja Cat will be performing at the 2021 Grammy Awards this Sunday (March 14), where she’s nominated for Best New Artist as well as Record Of The Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for “Say So.” The Los Angeles based artist has also been working hard at her next album Planet Her, which she announced just before Christmas even before “Streets” went viral. Megan Thee Stallion, SZA, French Montana, Young Thug, A$AP Ferg, Saweetie, The Weeknd and Ariana Grande are all expected to make appearances.
