JID Announces Massive “God Does Like World Tours” With Nearly 70 Shows

JID is set to take his new album God Does Like Ugly around the globe with an ambitious run of almost 70 shows. The “God Does Like World Tours” will span four continents, making it the Atlanta-born rapper’s biggest tour to date. Sharing the news on Instagram, he wrote, “From the east side of Atlanta to the world, can’t wait to see you all…”
In the United States, JID will be joined by fellow Atlanta native Young Nudy as a supporting act. He also confirmed a special hometown performance in Atlanta, although the date is still to be announced. For his European shows, JID is bringing along Mick Jenkins. Jordan Ward will join him for the run in Australia and New Zealand, ensuring each leg of the tour has a unique supporting lineup.
Fans are already buzzing with excitement. One Instagram comment read, “THISSSS TOO HARD. Boy really got the best team cause, who FAWK doing tours like this besides CB!! Fr.” Another added, “PHILLY STAND UP they gone hear me from overseas ITS UP!!” The energy online reflects how anticipated both the album and tour are among JID’s growing fanbase.
God Does Like Ugly arrived earlier this month as JID’s fourth studio album. The project boasts an impressive roster of collaborations, including Westside Gunn, Clipse, Vince Staples, Ciara, EarthGang, Don Toliver, Ty Dolla Sign, 6lack, Jessie Reyez, Baby Kia, Mereba, and Pastor Troy. A month before the official release, he dropped the GDLU (Preluxe), giving fans a taste of the new direction.
In an interview with Complex, JID shared the story behind the album’s name. “In 2019, my grandmother passed,” he said. “But before this, I remember just speaking to her; it was something crazy going on, a world occurrence or something. And shawty was like, ‘God does like ugly, letting all this [happen].’ And then she was like, ‘You should name this your album.’” The personal meaning behind the title adds depth to a project that has already been praised for its sharp lyricism and wide-ranging sound.
With nearly 70 shows planned, a powerful new album, and strong supporting acts, JID is stepping into one of the biggest moments of his career. The “God Does Like World Tours” is set to highlight his evolution as an artist while connecting him with fans across the globe.
