Twitter Reacts To Drake Rapping In Arabic On New Song ‘Only For You Freestyle’. Social media users reacted to Drake’s use of Arabic in his new song, most of them had been impressed at the rappers range and very few criticised his pronunciation.
The Canadian rapper Drake has added to his repertoire by rapping in Arabic in his recent song ‘Only You Freestyle’ with British rapper Headie One. The song was released on Monday the 20th of July 2020.
In the song Drake raps “Arabic ting tells me I look like Yusuf, look like Hamza. Habibti please, ana akeed, iti wa ana ahla”. The Arabic line translates to “I am sure you and I look good together”.
Twitter went crazy reacting to the line by Drake. Many of the tweeps were impressed that he is a multilingual rapper. Many memes and videos had been posted of the way people had been reacting to the rappers ability. On tweep said “This Drake gut is really out here expanding to Arabic he’s actually the best ever idc”.
A few Twitter users were unimpressed and criticised his pronunciation and that he said something which he had not intended to say based on the way he pronounced the words. One user explained that what Drake said is ” you and i look the sh*ttiest together”, which is the total opposite of what he intended to say.
Drake has shown that he is versatile as he has rapped in over 3 languages. In his 2018 song ‘Mia’ he raps the whole song in Spanish, and in his recent song ‘Greece’ with DJ Khaled he says a few lines in French. The rapper has now added Arabic to his cup.
