Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Good Kid M.A.A.D City’ Is Now Longest Charting Hip Hop Album Ever! Kendrick has made history as his album has spent 400 weeks on the Billboard 200, this is the longest time a hip hop album has spent on the Billboard list.

“good kid m.A.A.d city” was released in October 2012. The album has also won Album of the Year at the BET Hip Hop Awards and Soul Train Awards. It was also nominated for a Grammy Award. The album has hits like ‘Swimming Pools (Drank)’ and ‘Poetic Justice‘.

Lamar is a Pulitzer Price winning MC, his chart topping album is a sophomore effort which was released by his major label Top Dawg Entertainment. The album features production by Dr. Dre and Pharrell Williams.

The award winning rapper last released an album in 2017, he has developed into being one of the most celebrated MC’s. Kendrick, who often shies away from social media has been recently spotted on the frontlines of protests around Compton.
