Gunna Teases Smooth New Wizkid Collab “Forever” Ahead of The Last Wun

Gunna is preparing to close out his run with YSL Records in a major way. The Georgia rapper has announced that his sixth studio album, The Last Wun, will be released on August 8. The project will feature a massive 25 tracks, marking his biggest album to date.

Fans have already heard two singles. “Won’t Stop” arrived in June, while “Him All Along” dropped in October 2024. In the months leading up to the release, there was speculation about which tracks would make the final cut. Songs like “GOT DAMN” and “Classy Girl” with producer Turbo surfaced, though only the latter belongs to Turbo himself.

With just days before the drop, Gunna has given fans one last preview. As spotted by Complex Music, he shared behind-the-scenes footage of a studio session with Afrobeats star Wizkid. Their collaboration, “Forever,” blends a club-ready beat with melodic verses about mutual passion and love. It will mark the first time the two have worked together.

In an interview with Uproxx, Gunna explained that the album has no set concept. “When I create, I go with what I feel. I might approach an album not even knowing the title yet and it’ll form. So, for this album in particular, it’s no theme. It’s in current time of what’s happening with me.”

The Last Wun will serve as Gunna’s final release under YSL Records, closing an important chapter in his career. With 25 songs, big-name collaborations, and no strict creative boundaries, it promises to be one of the most talked-about rap releases of the summer.
