The Game Prepares First Gangsta Grillz Mixtape Featuring Kanye West Collab

The Game is set to release his first-ever Gangsta Grillz mixtape, Every Movie Needs A Trailer, on Friday, December 5. Fans have been eagerly anticipating the project, which was either mistakenly thought to drop earlier or confused due to timeline announcements. The mixtape will be produced entirely by Mike & Keys and will feature a collaboration with Kanye West titled “Crack Music 2.”
During an appearance on The Cruz Show on Real 92.3 L.A., The Game reflected on the original “Crack Music” from Kanye’s 2005 album, Late Registration. He shared that Ye initially invited him to the studio to record a verse and hook but he left the session with some other material he wanted to use. Fans had long expressed a desire to hear The Game on the original track, and the sequel appears to address that demand.
The exact format of “Crack Music 2” remains unclear. It could be a remake of the original with The Game adding a verse, a completely new instrumental with both artists, or a shorter track featuring a single verse. Fans will have to wait until the mixtape drops to know for sure.
The Game and Kanye West have a history of collaborations, including “Eazy,” “Wouldn’t Get Far,” “Mula,” and “Jesus Piece” with Common. Their professional bond has attracted attention, especially amid Ye’s recent controversies, which have at times sparked divided loyalties among fans and other artists, such as Toronto rapper Top5.
Kanye West is also contributing to The Game’s Documentary 3, though that project is still forthcoming. Every Movie Needs A Trailer may take some focus from that effort, but it guarantees another high-profile collaboration for fans to anticipate.
With the release date confirmed, excitement is building around how “Crack Music 2” will honor the legacy of the original while showcasing The Game and Kanye West’s chemistry in 2025. Fans are ready to hear the next chapter in one of hip-hop’s memorable collaborations.
