Master P Drops Star-Studded Album with Unreleased Tracks

Master P has returned with a major release, unveiling The No Limit 5K Mix: Lost Tapes, a 25-track collection of previously unreleased material. The album features NBA YoungBoy, Nipsey Hussle, Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane, Yo Gotti, E-40, 2 Chainz, and more, delivering a mix of high-energy bangers and collaborations with hip-hop heavyweights.

The project was released on YouTube, giving fans access to songs that were never officially shared. Master P described the album as a celebration for both long-time followers and newer listeners. “I just started looking through what I had. And I had all these songs,” he told Complex. “I never really did nothing with these songs. Didn’t make no videos, didn’t do nothing. The song I did with Lil Wayne, I feel like that inspired me because we’re both from New Orleans and this a celebration. I’m giving it to the fans… Everybody got their camo on now. The tanks is out and we just giving them good music.”

The No Limit 5K Mix: Lost Tapes blends the classic Southern rap sound with modern influences. It highlights Master P’s ability to bridge eras, making it appealing to older fans who grew up on No Limit hits while introducing newer listeners to the label’s signature style.

This release could also mark a milestone in Master P’s career. He has previously hinted at retiring from music, suggesting that this may be his final full-length project. If so, the album serves as both a tribute to his legacy and a gift to fans who have supported him for decades.

Even as the album drops, Master P continues to navigate tensions within his camp. Previous issues involving Essence Fest led to a public dispute with Mia X, raising questions about potential reconciliation.

With The No Limit 5K Mix: Lost Tapes, Master P delivers a career-spanning collection that celebrates his influence, showcases top-tier collaborations, and offers fans a fresh look at his extensive catalog.
