Young Thug Confirms Release Date for New Album UY Scuti

Young Thug has confirmed that his long-awaited album UY Scuti will drop on Friday, September 26. Fans will be able to stream the project at midnight on platforms including Apple Music, Spotify, and Tidal. The release was originally scheduled for September 19 but was delayed by a week.

Digital pre-orders are now available through Thug’s official website. Fans who purchase will receive the album directly by email once it goes live. Physical formats, including vinyl, CDs, and box sets, are also on sale and will begin shipping upon release.

In a recent interview with GQ, Thug explained the inspiration behind the album’s title. “I just feel big, you know. The name of my album UY Scuti. I feel like I’m one of the biggest stars. I did a lot. Founding this culture. The new rap game that’s happening right now. I’m out of this world. Not like God, though.”

While Thug has not yet revealed the official tracklist, he has already dropped the single “Money on Money” featuring Future. He has also teased possible collaborations with YFN Lucci. Rumors continue to circulate about appearances from Lil Baby, Travis Scott, Trippie Redd, 21 Savage, Ken Carson, and Mariah the Scientist. However, the leaking of Thug’s jail calls earlier this month has cast doubt on whether all of those features will make the final cut.

Those jail calls, recorded while Thug remains behind bars in the YSL RICO case, showed him criticizing several high-profile collaborators, including Future, Kendrick Lamar, Gucci Mane, and Gunna. He also admitted to being unfaithful to Mariah the Scientist, a revelation that sparked heavy discussion online.

Thug later addressed the controversy directly through music. On the single “Man I Miss My Dogs,” he offered an apology to his peers and to Mariah. He rapped: “Look at these n**s bashin’ me like Jesus ’cause I made it / Look at all this sht we been through, baby cryin’ in Mercedes / Fck a jail call, I was playin’, I’ll never trade you.”

With UY Scuti now set for release, fans are eager to see how Thug weaves these personal struggles and industry tensions into the project. Whether through high-profile features or deeply personal bars, the album marks one of his most anticipated drops to date.
