Tyler The Creator Drops Nostalgic “SUCKA FREE” Music Video From Don’t Tap the Glass

Tyler The Creator has delivered another surprise for fans, releasing the official music video for his Don’t Tap the Glass track, “SUCKA FREE.” The video arrived Wednesday afternoon and immediately sparked attention online for its playful, throwback style.

The visual embraces a lo-fi editing approach that one fan described as “straight out of Windows Movie Maker.” Tyler is seen dancing in different locations while performing the track, blending raw clips with moments captured from the album’s release party. The stripped-down editing highlights his carefree energy and gives the video an early 2000s aesthetic that resonated with fans.

Reaction on YouTube has been overwhelmingly positive. One top comment reads, “I am glad Tyler using raw clips and having fun. That why I love Tyler.” Another fan added, “Bro really edited this video with Windows Movie Maker. Bringing back the early 2000s era with this one. Thank you.”

Don’t Tap the Glass marked Tyler’s ninth studio album when it dropped in July. The project features Pharrell Williams, Madison McFerrin, and Yebba, and it debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200. The album’s sound is upbeat and movement-focused, a direct reflection of Tyler’s intention when crafting it.

In a statement at the time of release, Tyler explained his creative vision: “I asked some friends why they don’t dance in public and some said because of the fear of being filmed. I thought damn, a natural form of expression and a certain connection they have with music is now a ghost. It made me wonder how much of our human spirit got killed because of the fear of being a meme, all for having a good time… This album was not made for sitting still. Dancing driving running any type of movement is recommended to maybe understand the spirit of it. Only at full volume.”

Tyler is still touring globally with Chromakopia: The World Tour, which will continue through September. With Don’t Tap the Glass already dominating charts and fans embracing his latest visuals, Tyler The Creator shows no signs of slowing down.
