Tyler The Creator Drops New Music Video for “Darling, I” From Chromakopia

Tyler The Creator has surprised fans with a new music video for his Chromakopia track, “Darling, I,” originally released in 2024. The video features appearances from Ayo Edebiri, Lauren London, Nia Long, Willow Smith, Teezo Touchdown, and others. Tyler is seen flirting and posing with a series of women in various dynamic encounters throughout the clip.
Fans have praised the release on YouTube, highlighting Tyler’s creativity. One comment reads, “Tyler giving yall a music video from a whole different album when he has a new album out is INSANE! Top tier level artistry here.” Another fan added, “My favorite part about listening to your music is hearing where your brain goes in the production. An absolute banger.”
Chromakopia, Tyler’s eighth studio album, was released in October 2024. Earlier this year, he promoted the project through Chromakopia: The World Tour and still has tour dates overseas through September.
The release of “Darling, I” comes even as Tyler has moved on to his latest album, Don’t Tap the Glass. This new project features collaborations with Pharrell Williams, Madison McFerrin, and Yebba. With Don’t Tap the Glass, Tyler aimed to encourage fans to dance and move freely. He explained on social media, “I asked some friends why they don’t dance in public and some said because of the fear of being filmed. I thought damn, a natural form of expression and a certain connection they have with music is now a ghost. It made me wonder how much of our human spirit got killed because of the fear of being a meme, all for having a good time… This album was not made for sitting still. Dancing driving running any type of movement is recommended to maybe understand the spirit of it. Only at full volume.”
By releasing a new video from Chromakopia while actively promoting Don’t Tap the Glass, Tyler The Creator continues to blend his artistic vision with bold storytelling, maintaining his position as one of hip-hop’s most innovative figures.
