Rick Ross Escalates Feud With 50 Cent by Dragging Baby Mother Daphne Joy Into the Drama

The long-standing beef between Rick Ross and 50 Cent just took another sharp turn. On Thursday, Rozay turned up the heat by involving 50 Cent’s baby mother, Daphne Joy, in his ongoing war of words with the G-Unit mogul. Sharing a pointed Instagram post by the pool, Rick Ross compared 50 Cent’s record deal struggles to Daphne’s rumored personal life, further stoking the fire between the two rap titans.

The Instagram video included cryptic references to Ross allegedly taking 50 Cent’s son, Sire, fishing—using this as a metaphor to challenge 50’s music business moves. Ross didn’t hold back as he asked his followers whether 50’s record deal with Interscope was worse than Daphne Joy’s alleged “freak offs” at Diddy’s Miami home.

In the video, Ross questioned 50’s decision-making over multiple album deals, saying, “50’s sitting after your first album went diamond. No one around you thought it would be a good idea to renegotiate that horrendous contract you was in for ownership of your masters after that first album, the second album, the third album, the fourth album.”

Although Ross didn’t mention Daphne Joy by name, he alluded to her involvement with Diddy through gestures and comments: “But who got f*cked worse, man?” he said, pointing behind him to highlight the previous post referencing his fishing trip with 50 Cent’s son and implying Daphne’s personal ties with Diddy.

This latest move marks another chapter in one of hip-hop’s longest and most bitter rivalries.

The feud reignited in early 2025, fueled by a series of social media jabs, tour-related shade, and cutting personal insults. The tension flared up after Ross was announced as a special guest on the Millennium Tour—a booking that 50 Cent publicly mocked on Instagram, calling Ross an “opening act” who couldn’t sell tickets without leaning on Drake’s catalog.

Ross fired back via Instagram Stories, ridiculing 50 Cent’s delayed G-Unit studio project and questioning his financial standing. What followed was a volley of personal barbs: Ross made cruel remarks about 50’s late mother and the “walking star” tribute in her honor. He even threatened to buy 50 Cent’s music masters outright, challenging his ownership and control over his catalog.

The feud is further complicated by 50 Cent’s ongoing issues with Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory, the founder of the Black Mafia Family (BMF). Ross has seized on this tension to accuse 50 of betrayal, deepening their rivalry.

Their animosity dates back to 2008 when Ross dropped “Mafia Music,” which prompted 50 Cent to retaliate with “Officer Ricky.” More than 15 years later, their feud remains as fierce and personal as ever, driven by pride, business conflicts, and a battle for hip-hop legacy.

As of mid-2025, there’s no sign of either side backing down, and the latest involvement of Daphne Joy signals the beef may only be escalating. Fans and observers will be watching closely to see how 50 Cent responds to Ross’s latest provocations—and whether this feud will ever truly come to an end.
