Offset Reacts to Cardi B’s “Outside” Diss and Talks New Album on Joe Budden Podcast

Offset sat down with Joe Budden this week and opened up about Cardi B’s recent diss toward him on her single “Outside.” The Migos rapper revealed he was already aware of the song long before it dropped.
During the podcast, Budden asked Offset about his upcoming solo album Kiari, which is set to release on August 22. The conversation turned to whether Offset would address his breakup with Cardi B on the record. Offset made it clear that he isn’t interested in using the album to throw shots.
“It’s therapy,” he said. “I ain’t doing that on the album. The shots? I ain’t doing that. I might speak on life situations, but I’m not doing that. That ain’t the way to do it. There’s too much involved, family, kids. That sh*t gonna be lame 10 years from now.”
Offset said his new project will reflect how he feels but won’t be used as a platform for petty drama. He also gave his thoughts on Cardi’s “Outside” record, which many fans saw as a direct shot at him.
“I actually knew about the song before the song came out, like prior to the bullsh*t that was happening,” he said. “If it is stuff at me… Everything is a timing thing. That record’s been done. I know about the record. It look like how it look.”
Offset and Cardi B were married from 2017 to 2024. Cardi filed for divorce last summer. She has since moved on and is now dating NFL star Stefon Diggs. When their relationship became Instagram official, Offset posted on X: “Good roll out n PR. Today I pass.” Diggs later replied with a photo of himself catching a football and the caption: “We good over here, I caught her.”
Offset is staying focused on his music. Kiari will feature NBA YoungBoy, YFN Lucci, Gunna, JID, Teezo Touchdown, John Legend, and Ty Dolla $ign. He announced the tracklist earlier this week through his social media channels.
Despite the public breakup and Cardi’s lyrical jabs, Offset appears committed to taking the high road. Instead of clapping back, he plans to use his album to share honest emotions and personal growth. With Kiari dropping soon, fans will get to hear that story straight from him.
