The New Jersey rapper, 34, was seen in a video shared by Loren LoRosa on The Breakfast Club, speaking with a few people in what appeared to be a meeting room. In the video, he also addressed his fans directly, expressing gratitude and outlining his next steps.
He stated, “I want to thank my family, friends, and fans for the love, prayers, and continued support—it truly means everything to me. Right now, my focus is on giving back through my community initiatives and foundation, supporting at-risk young children by expanding access to education, early tech skills, and vision care for young kids and students so they can show up as their best selves. I’m committed to moving forward with purpose and making a meaningful impact where it matters most.”
Fetty’s release marks a significant change from previous expectations. Initially sentenced to six years in prison in 2023 for conspiracy to distribute cocaine, he was slated for release in March 2027. His date was moved up several times in late 2025, first to January 8, 2027, and later to December 8, 2026. The exact reason for his early release has not yet been confirmed.
During his incarceration, Fetty Wap served time at the low-security FCI Sandstone facility in Minnesota. Fans had little insight into his life behind bars until this video. He appeared in good spirits, wearing a black hoodie, checkered gray and black beanie, black sweatpants, and still sporting his signature dreadlocks.
