Travis Scott Breaks Record with Circus Maximus Tour

Travis Scott has reportedly set a new benchmark for solo rap tours after concluding his Circus Maximus Tour last week. Billboard reports the tour grossed $265.1 million, selling 2.1 million tickets. The tour, which began in North America in October 2023, spanned 20 countries across six continents and wrapped up in Mumbai, India, on November 19.

High-profile guest appearances highlighted the tour. Artists including Kanye West, Teezo Touchdown, Yung Lean, Don Toliver, Sheck Wes, Babyface Ray, Skilla Baby, Veeze, and Nav joined Scott on stage. The setlist covered Scott’s career hits such as “Sicko Mode,” “No Bystanders,” “Fein,” “Mamacita,” “Goosebumps,” and “Maria I’m Drunk.”

The Circus Maximus Tour marked Scott’s return to live touring after the Astroworld Festival tragedy in 2021, when a crowd surge resulted in at least ten fatalities.

The tour promoted Scott’s fourth studio album, Utopia, released in July 2023. Utopia features collaborations with Drake, Beyoncé, Playboi Carti, 21 Savage, the Weeknd, Swae Lee, Yung Lean, Dave Chappelle, Young Thug, Westside Gunn, Kid Cudi, Bad Bunny, SZA, Future, and James Blake. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with 496,000 album-equivalent units, while all 19 tracks landed on the Billboard Hot 100.

Following Utopia, Scott released the JackBoys 2 compilation album in July through his Cactus Jack Records label. The album features label members Don Toliver, Sheck Wes, SoFaygo, and Wallie the Sensei, alongside Playboi Carti, Future, SahBabii, Tyla, Vybz Kartel, GloRilla, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, and Kodak Black. The project continues the legacy of the first JackBoys compilation, released in 2019.

Travis Scott’s Circus Maximus Tour now stands as the highest-grossing solo rap tour in history, underscoring his influence in global music and live performance.
