A$AP Rocky’s long-awaited album DON’T BE DUMB has been plagued with delays, leaks, and underwhelming rollouts—and now, the trend continues. On July 4, Rocky released a new single titled “pray4dagang,” giving Apple Music subscribers a 24-hour exclusive listen. Despite the hype around his first solo release in months, the track failed to make a meaningful impact on the charts.
According to Kurrco, a widely followed music account, “pray4dagang” did not chart in Apple Music’s Top 100 Songs—a daily-updated list that usually reflects strong listener demand. As of this writing, the song still has not appeared on that chart, suggesting the track may have significantly missed the mark with both casual listeners and longtime fans.
This release adds to a growing list of Rocky singles that have dropped since his 2018 album TESTING, but failed to gain major traction. While A$AP Rocky has never been known for racking up huge debut numbers on the Billboard Hot 100, his earlier singles often achieved long-term success through slow-building streams and loyal fan support. This time, though, “pray4dagang” seems to lack even that initial spark—an especially concerning sign for what is being positioned as a lead single.
The single’s underperformance comes during a turbulent chapter in Rocky’s career. Originally expected in August 2024, DON’T BE DUMB was delayed multiple times following a wave of leaks that upended Rocky’s plans for the album’s release.
