DMX’s Family, Swizz Beatz Weigh In On Rumor Of Jay-Z & Beyoncé Buying His Masters! As the world continues to mourn the recent death of hip hop heavyweight DMX, it’s no secret that news of DMX’s passing was not only devastating but also shook the hip-hop community to the core. Going by the way Hip hop community stood up in DMX’s honor during his hospitalization, the love for the fallen rapper was crystal clear.

During the fateful week, hip hop world stood by DMX sharing their prayers, memories, as well as celebrations of his legacy till the very end. The world lost the Yonkers, NY rapper, born Earl Simmons, on Friday, April 8 after he suffered a heart attack one week prior.

A number of the rapper’s peers within music, entertainment, and beyond hopped on to social media to remember the Ruff Ryders legend. Those included fellow Ruff Ryders, Swizz Beatz, Drag-On, Eve, not forgetting LeBron James, Jamie Foxx, Gabrielle Union, Redman, Black Rob, Snoop Dogg, Roxanne Shante, and more.

While the tributes streamed in abundance, unfortunate rumors equally did in equal measure. Over the weekend, news that DMX’s master was allegedly being bought by Jay-Z and Beyoncé began doing rounds. His familypromptly debunked those rumors by issuing a statement on Monday, April 12.

“There have been a few rumors following our loved on, Earl Simmons’, passing that we’d like to clear it. No one has bought Earl’s masters.”

A report by Revolt TV also has revealed that Swizz Beatz also refuted the validity of those rumors via an Instagram post saying, “Not true king.”

Besides, the late rapper’s family also addressed scammers who have attempted to profit from X’s death.

“We are not selling any merch or raising money for Earl’s funeral,” the family said in a statement. “If anyone is requesting for money for his funeral please be aware the person is a scammer. We will keep the public posted on funeral/memorial service arrangements.”
