Young Thug Drops ‘Slime Language 2’ feat. Drake, Lil Baby, Travis Scott, Big Sean! Just when the week looked like it was going to end on a rather lackluster note, this weekend comes with some big releases including Young Thug’s latest project with his Young Stoner Life Records crew.
Thugger released the new compilation album Slime Language 2 today, Friday (April 16). The new project from Thug and co. features 23 tracks including songs with YSL members Gunna, Lil Duke, Lil Keed, HiDoraah, Dolly White, Strick and more. The project also enjoys guest appearances from Travis Scott, Drake, Kid Cudi and others.

He would later on drop a visual featuring his YSL roster and some footage from the studio, probably recording the album.
Rumors first broke towards the end of 2020 pointing to the effect about the project’s impending release after Thug first shared an Instagram Story video of himself and his team in the studio. The clip sees the team discuss dropping the project on Black Friday of last year (Nov. 26, 2020).
Thug would then make an appearance as a guest on T.I.’s ExpediTIously Podcast along with Benny The Butcher in early October where he openly discussed about his upcoming projects. “I’m doing the Slime Language 2 album. I’m putting that shit out and then I’m putting out my album, Punk,” Thug assured Tip. “I might put out two albums though…I wanna start anew. You know, sometimes the relationship will get old. I just want to start a new relationship with my label.”
The original Slime Language album was released back in 2018, and was the Atlanta rapper’s first showcase of his upstart imprint. The album also featured Lil Lil Baby, Uzi Vert, Jacquees, Tracey T and Trapboy Freddy. This marks Thug’s first release of 2021. In May of 2020, in a collaboration with Chris Brown, they released a joint mixtape Slime & B.
