Roddy Ricch and J Balvin have decided to withdraw and drop out from performing at this years virtual VMA awards show. Roddy Ricch had released an announcement on social media sharing that he will not be performing at the show.

The social media message stated “Unfortunately I won’t be performing at this years VMA’s as announces. My team and I did everything in our power to make this work, due to COVID compliance issues at the last minute we had to call off the performance”. The rapper shared that it was a decision taken based on the health safety of everyone.

J Balvin had not officially shared a statement on any of his platforms, but it was announced that he has decided to withdraw and drop out from performing. The Colombian singer has been very popular and had just dropped his successful album, fans are surely disappointed that he will not be preforming.

Even though the awards show has lost 2 stars, the show line up still has many other stars in store. The stars include Ariana Grande, Black Eyed Peas, BTS, DaBaby, The Weeknd and more. The VMA’s will take place on Sunday the 30th of August on MTV.
